If you're after what an old school Post-Hardcore band would sound like then Realms is perfect for you.
It feels like they've got some proper old school sounds from A Bullet For Pretty Boy and other bands of that genre which I grew up really rinsing near on every day. These are certainly something to bring me back into the childhood of my music and it makes me think why did I ever stop listening to these bands?
The song by Realms called ‘Wallflower’ really reminds me of early Bless The Fall and I believe this band will have me following them for life after listening to this track as it's clearly going to be the one that they'll need to top for me personally. This band really blend cleans and aggressive vocals together perfectly with the music they create as I have been known to hum some of the songs off this release while walking out and about with no music in my ear.
I say if you like bands like A Bullet For Pretty Boy, Chiodos, Drop Dead Gorgeous and Bless The Fall then I reckon you're going to love this EP because I feel it blends all the good traits of each band into it and keeps me wanting to go mental on the edge of my seat throughout the whole of the release which is really hard to keep me interested after the first couple of tracks on any release of this genre.
DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS BAND. YOU WILL REGRET IT OTHERWISE.
